The Ship Be Sinking

Mouth Almighty

Memorable Moments

There’s a lot that could be said about Arsenal 1-4 Chelsea, but the one thing I think I’ll remember in a few months actually happened in the 12th minute, as Diaby slipped in front of a pass that Fabregas was in perfect position to run onto and shoot. Diaby scuffed it very wide, fell over, and got up with a mildly frustrated look on his face; Fabregas visibly lost it, screamed at him, and punched the air in frustration. By 30 minutes in he’d also picked up a yellow for dissent and might have been sent off after a hideous tackle that certainly would have gotten him a yellow if he weren’t already on one. After that… not much. He was often peripheral to the game. It was the picture of a player who began the game desperate to get something done but terrified of what might happen, who gave up when it did. I can’t imagine Arsenal keeping him more than a season if changes and improvements aren’t made.
